About The Classes
Kundalini Yoga and Meditation
Kundalini Yoga classes are a dynamic blend of postures, mantra, music and meditation, which teach you the art of relaxation, self-healing and elevation. It’s a fun way to increase energy, release tension, and improve overall health as well as a more spontaneous flow of joy and happiness. Elimination of disease, addictions, anxiety and depression have all been attributed to dedicated Kundalini practice.
Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s almost fifty years of practice of classical yoga. This class is open to a mixed level of students with direction & corrections given to each student according to their capacity. One is recommended to practice at their own pace, not push too much, & be at peace practicing either easier or more advanced variations independently within the Shiva Namaskara Vinyasa series & stationary meditative postures. These powerful yet subtle practices help to bring radiant health, fitness & Self-knowledge quickly to all students. Dharma Yoga I classes are the beginning level of the Dharma Yoga series.
Freestyle Dance Fitness
The key words here to enter and leave more with are Inspiration, Enthusiasm, Strength, and Positivity. The dance floor is an inspiration and healing source for not only your physical body, but also for the vitality of your mind and emotional self. Build upon your confidence, feel the enthusiasm of dance-offs, discover new ways to move your body to the music all while becoming stronger and more positive about yourself.
Embodied dreamwork—pioneered by Jungian analyst Robert Bosnak—is an interaction with the dreaming state involving the whole body. As your dream facilitator I will guide you back into the dream through a series of questions that help one explore the dream images using the body as a container, noticing the feelings within the body that arise as you relive your dream not just from the standpoint of the ‘ego or I’ in the dream, but from a host of other dreaming perspectives . By holding many different, often conflicting feelings simultaneously one can experience profound therapeutic effects.
Available as private consultations, by appointment, $60. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
Janis Comb (Mansukh Kaur)
Janis has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. In 2009 she took her first Kundalini Yoga workshop and fell in love with this yoga. “I am 58 years old and because of my yoga practice I feel increased well-being, vitality, and happiness. I feel better than when I was in my 30s. I want to share this incredible technology with others. Vitality and health is your birthright. Kundalini Yoga makes you radiant, peaceful and strong so you are better able to meet life’s challenges.” Janis is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and certified Kripalu Yoga teacher.
Janis has also been studying astrology for over 30 years. She loves to share her knowledge by helping others interpret the symbolic language of the birth chart which can be seen as a map or blueprint of what we can become and what we potentially would look like if we were in full flower and fully conscious.
Janis received her Masters at Lesley College where she specialized in dreamwork and astrological counseling. It was there she discovered that it was possible to integrate both dreams and astrology into a work she calls Astrological Dreamwork. Janis has studied astrology for over 35 years. She also has for the last 15 years been attending Embodied dreamwork training sessions led by Jungian analyst Robert Bosnak. She is certified as an Embodied Dream Imagery Practitioner It is in these sessions that she has been able to learn and practice the craft of dreamwork, with an emphasis on group dreamwork.

After some time of exploring her personal practice, Amy re-immersed in her formal Hatha yoga studies with Sri. Dharma Mittra and the Yogi Gupta lineage of Hatha Yoga. Amy’s classes incorporate the sequencing of Dharma Yoga but always include her own creative touch. She incorporates her love of asana, pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra, and meditation in her classes.
